The highly popular German fleet show, “Flotte – der Branchentreff” (Fleet! The industry get-together), returns next month at the Messe Düsseldorf – and Fleet Logistics will be exhibiting.

One of the first trade shows to return in a physical, rather than virtual state, the two-day event will be held on September 15 and 16 when it will have a wide variety of fleet presentations, lectures, workshops, discussions with lawyers and tax experts and around 260 trade exhibitors. All tickets that have already been purchased will remain valid.

The show is organised by German fleet magazine publisher, Flottenmanagement, and the last time it was held, pre-pandemic in March 2019, it attracted 1,500 fleet decision-makers and 3,200 visitors from all over Germany.

Thorsten Bertram, Head of Marketing at Fleet Logistics, said “We are delighted to be once again back at a real, rather than virtual fleet trade fair, and we look forward to meeting with our many clients and other visitors when the show opens on September 15, especially as we are eager to present and discuss our new services in the area of mobility.”

Fleet Logistics launched its first mobility solution, MobilityBUDGET, earlier this year as part of its planned transition from pure fleet management provider to offering new Managed Mobility Solutions to clients and prospects.

Both web and app-based, it is intended to provide a transparent and automated process to optimise internal cash allowance processes or simply offer an alternative to meet employees’ need for alternative mobility. It provides employees with a tax optimised cash amount which can be used to cover personal multi-modal mobility needs, ranging from personal lease, through shared mobility including rental cars to public transport.

“Show visitors will be able to see for themselves the extreme flexibility and ease of operation that MobilityBUDGET provides,” added Thorsten Bertram.

Before planning this year’s show, the organisers carried out extensive research into its viability in relation to the Coronavirus pandemic, which continues to ease in Germany. At the end of July, over 72% of Germans over the age of 18 had been vaccinated for the first time and over 60% had been fully vaccinated.

A spokesman for the Show said: “After all the lockdowns, people want to finally meet again. Personal contact is not only important privately, personal networking and the personal relationship between customers and suppliers are also immensely important at work. Video calls or even video conferences can only temporarily and only partially replace this.

“We asked the trade visitors who registered before the lockdown whether they would like to be there on September 15-16 or whether it would be too early.

“There was a clear result: a positive atmosphere of optimism can be clearly felt. Some 70% of respondents said they definitely want to be there, 18% cannot say for sure yet, and only 12% cannot or do not want to be there.

“This is one of the reasons why we have decided to start again with “Fleet! The industry get-together” and to do pioneering work as the market leader of the vehicle fleet fairs. We want to help ensure that the companies get back on track.

“Of course, we will implement the hygiene concepts that apply at this point in time. Because the safety and health of exhibitors, visitors and employees is still our top priority.

“Exhibitors and visitors can look forward to another record event with over 260 exhibitors on over 11,000 square meters and numerous trade visitors from all over Germany,” he said.

Messe Düsseldorf is centrally located in Germany and offers ideal connections to the airport, motorway and ICE. According to Dataforce, postcode region 4 is also the region with the most fleet operators in Germany - regardless of the size of the fleet.

Messe Düsseldorf offers the perfect show infrastructure and access routes, including charing stations for electric cars right next to the centre, as well as an ultra-modern exhibition hall providing the perfect setting for relaxed discussions and an intensive exchange of experience during the specialist program.

  • Further education certificates and neutral certificates
  • Visit to the trade fair with over 260 exhibitors from the vehicle fleet sector on over 11,000 square meters
