Steffen Schick (53) has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Fleet Logistics Group, Europe's largest independent fleet management company.

Steffen Schick has many years of experience in the automotive industry. From 2008 to 2017, he held various positions at the Autovista Group, most recently as Chief Strategy Officer.

Schick previously worked at Fleet Logistics International from 2005 to 2008, including holding the role of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to his current move back to Fleet Logistics, the business graduate headed the consulting firm Polarlys as founder and managing director.

"With Steffen Schick, we found a leader for Fleet Logistics who has extensive expertise in the automotive industry and in fleet management. The brand neutrality of the vehicle portfolio and the independence from leasing companies should continue to be the most important cornerstones of the corporate strategy," explains Patrick Fruth, Head of the Auto Service Division at TÜV SÜD.

Fleet Logistics was founded in 1996. The company employs around 380 people worldwide and operates in more than 70 countries. Its customers include major national and international fleet customers.

With a managed fleet of around 180,000 vehicles, Fleet Logistics is one of the world's largest independent fleet management service providers. The service portfolio is divided into the areas of fleet management, fleet consulting and fleet reporting.

As sole shareholder TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of TÜV SÜD AG, acquired the company in 2012. On November 1, 2019, Volkswagen Financial Services AG acquired 60% of the shares from TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH. Going forward, Fleet Logistics will be jointly controlled by both partners as part of a joint venture.
